Then it’s “Listen Up” with our Audiologist, Dr. Melissa Fling, and Owner of Custom Ear Solutions. In today’s show, Dr. Fling explains seven important reasons to get your hearing checked regularly. Like vision or dental exams, hearing tests catch problems early and help protect brain health, since untreated hearing loss is linked to memory issues and even dementia. Regular testing keeps you connected in conversations, supports safety and job performance, and tracks gradual changes over time. Early detection leads to better treatment outcomes, while healthy hearing also reduces stress, fatigue, and isolation—improving overall quality of life.
