Monday 6/1/26: Colorado Eye Consultants & Custom Ear Solutions & Your Health Matters with Dr. Shane Steadman

Today’s Guests:
On this week’s show, Scott Whatley sits down with Dr. Celine Satija of Colorado Eye Consultants to discuss the latest advancements in eye care, with a special focus on corneal health. Dr. Satija, a board-certified ophthalmologist and corneal specialist, shares how modern procedures like corneal transplantation and crosslinking are restoring vision and improving quality of life for patients dealing with conditions such as keratoconus. She also explains the importance of early detection and regular eye exams, especially as technology continues to evolve in cataract and refractive surgery. Listeners gain insight into both routine and complex eye care, including options for those who have had prior procedures like LASIK. The conversation highlights a patient-first approach—taking time to understand concerns and tailor treatment plans—reinforcing Colorado Eye Consultants’ commitment to delivering cutting-edge care with a personal touch.

In our final half-hour it’s Your Health Matters, brought to you by Integrated Health Systems. Today, Dr. Shane Steadman is with us and our topic is Migraines. Dr. Steadman explains that a migraine is a headache that can cause intense throbbing pain or a pulsing feeling, usually on one side of the head. It often happens with nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine attacks can last for hours to days, and the pain can be so bad that it interferes with your daily activities. For some people, a warning symptom known as an aura occurs before or with a migraine. An aura can include visual changes, such as flashes of light or blind spots. The aura also can cause tingling on one side of the face or in an arm or leg and trouble speaking. Medicines can help prevent some migraines but at Integrated Health Systems our goal is to figure out the cause, and see if it can be managed without meds. Combining medicines with self-help remedies and lifestyle changes also might help. It’s always a free initial consult call 303-781-5617 or visit their website at www.IntegratedHealthDenver.com.
